H.I.D Burgers, Marcos Hi-way

Putting up shop where Falino’s used to be is now where H.I.D Burgers is at! Meaning healthy, irresistible and delicious, they’re a somewhat make-your-own burger joint that offers a wide variety of options. It’s nothing new in the industry, but I guess what they offer, how they taste and how much can make the difference.

Directions: their burger joint is hard to miss- it’s just located along the Antipolo side of Marcos Hi-way between AMA Computer College / Filinvest and Wilcon Depot / Kingsville Village right before SM Masinag.

There’s ample parking space shared by the entire commercial compound, not to mention enough seats for everyone. They have seats outside for those who want to smoke and they also have two floors of tables indoors.

Ordering is simple: you just select from their pre-made recipes of burgers which cost P105-125 for single patty and P125-145 for double patty. They also have hotdog versions of the recipes for P105-P125. Add P45 for potato wedges and P10-20 per add-on added. Here’s what I had: Premium Bacon Mushroom Melt with Garlic Chili!

1/3 lbs. Premium Bacon Mushroom Melt w/ Garlic Chili – P155

Besides the hotdogs and burgers, they offer other specials such as Hungarian Sausage Slices, Hot Asian Wings, Chicken Nuggets, Cheesy Bacon Wedge Fries and Classic Potato Wedges.

Hot Asian Wings (6 pcs.) – P150

The Verdict: well, it was supposed to be like any other burger joint out there. The patty meat is tasty, juicy and tender but kind of small in terms of diameter- but I guess that doesn’t matter if it’s the lbs. of the patty we’re talking about? H.I.D’s P145 1/3 lbs. vs. McDonald’s P150 1/4 lbs.

Nothing out of the ordinary, but what made the difference was that P10 Garlic Chili Add-on I decided to order on a whim- it was delicious! I might sound like I’m over-exaggerating, but it was nothing I’ve tasted on a burger before. The taste was like that of the garlic chili you find in Chinese restaurants- having that on a burger sounds so weird but tastes so right! It’s probably gonna be the reason why I’ll go back here.

The Hot Asian Wings was okay- it was sweet more than hot and a bit hard on the meat. The part I liked about it though is that the skin is really crunchy! The part that I don’t like? It’s not hot or spicy or any of the sort.

Here’s their in-store menu:

Anyway, I’d recommend the place if you live nearby and if you want to try something new. Happy eating!

The best thing about their burger are they are made out of chicken, not beef.
